Media_httpimggawkeras_lfpml
via gizmodo.com

Iran claims that their engineers have reverse engineered the secrets of the American stealth spy drone RQ-170 Sentinel that went down in their territory last December. To prove it, they have made public some of the encrypted information stored in the plane. If confirmed, it’s very bad news for the United States.

Speaking on state television, the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards’ air force—chief Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh—showed proof of their achievement…

Media_httpimggawkeras_qwdme
via gizmodo.com

Iran has had it up to here with the Internet—Google’s easy access to information, iTunes’ funneling in of Western Media, and don’t even get them started on Stuxnet—all totally the Internet’s fault. So, to preserve theocratic rule in the modern era, Iran is cutting off the Internet. Like, completely.

Iran Just Got Way Closer to Making Nukes

Media_httpcachegizmod_ycrdh
via gizmodo.com

Bad news if you like Earth unthreatened by crazy people wielding nukes: Iran just claimed significant advancements on its path to nuclear weapons.

Iran’s got some new uranium enrichment centrifuges, which will let it produce fuel-grade uranium faster. It also just loaded its first batch of domestically produced fuel into a research reactor. That’s important, as imported fuel has run dry, with the rest of the world trying desperately to dissuade Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons with assorted sanctions and resolutions.

US attacked Saudi Arabia and Iran?! Nope, it’s just another Facebook scam

Media_httpcdndigitalt_axdva
via digitaltrends.com

A new Facebook scam tricks people into downloading malware by using a fake CNN report about World War III.

If you see a post on Facebook that claims the US just attacked Saudi Arabia and Iran, don’t believe it. And please, whatever you do, don’t click the link. It’s just another Facebook scam, reports Graham Cluley at Sophos’ Naked Security blog. This time, rather than playing on users’ desire for free iPads and get-rich-quick schemes, the swindlers are exploiting fears of impending doom.
